John’s Story
John had been walking with a pair of boots that had been worn out for some time. As a result, John’s legs were in a great deal of pain and he couldn’t walk very well. John needed orthopedic boots to support his ankles, fit over his braces and help him walk better. John’s family did not have the funds and John’s boots weren’t covered by Medicaid. JumpStart purchased the boots for $149.00 so John could reduce his pain and maintain his mobility.
Ryan’s Story
Ryan is a little boy who is medically fragile and receives early intervention services from Denver Options. Ryan lost his Medicaid and his family had been trying to re-establish his Medicaid. Ryan became seriously ill and needed medication for an infection. The family did not have the money for the medication Ryan needed. JumpStart purchased medication for $176.30 for Ryan.
Dana’s Story
Dana needed emergency reconstructive oral surgery. It was uncertain if Dana’s insurance would cover sedation for the procedure. JumpStart paid $500.00 for the sedation she needed for the procedure.
